Every time I’m about to waltz into the next mountain of projects and client commitments, I remind myself of this question. It’s the pivotal question for understanding the lifestyle you want to build with your work.

Many people fantasize about having the freedom to travel the world, spend more time with family, or pursue passions as deeply as possible… but then build businesses that require more and more of their time, energy, and commitment! Sure, it’s possible for these conflicting realities to coexist — but wouldn’t it be easier to chase your version of success if every decision is based on the same, most honest North Star?
