As a citizen of the internet, you occasionally hear stories about Internet People™ making money in the most insane-sounding ways — usually involving what seems like a whole lot of luck or incredible circumstances or both. Such as:
Someone being able to buy a mansion from owning a series of laundromats or vending machines across America.
A blogger who literally never stops traveling because their “average” travel blog rakes in $50k/mo in ads.
A person who has no social media and lives off the grid, but makes bank from Lightroom preset packs.
Some people see those kinds of stories and gawk at how lucky those people must have been — and they would be right! Those quiet celebrities would absolutely admit the outsized return luck plays in things.
But, I tend to hear those kinds of “outlandish” stories and see it as inspiration to do the same. Why on earth would I spend so much time doing the work everyone else is doing when I could quietly do something crazy-sounding but crazy lucrative? Why not try to find a super niche pocket of the internet that you can own and find success from? What's stopping you from being that next crazy story?
