A stark reality that’s equally depressing as it is freeing: Nobody really cares about what you’re doing.
It’s a cliché at this point, but nonetheless… nearly every person you’ll see today, whether on the internet or in person, is more focused on their own life than they are on you. We’re all mostly selfish. Y’know those fears you have about sounding stupid, looking foolish, or being “naive” for trying? 99% of people won’t even notice you in the first place! So, just do what you want.
Of course, it’s important to have some people who DO care about what you’re up to… but you can most likely count the number of those on one hand. Keep them close. Everybody else though, you can reliably predict will not care that you did something cool or weird or embarrassing.
Get out of your head. Let yourself fail. Do something interesting.
