Hundred-ish

Hundred-ish

Hundred-ish

I realized just yesterday (after 90+ posts lol) that I’ve been sharing way more than the target of 100 words per day, as promised in the title of this broadcast. I’ve always been a long-winded writer, so I guess it shouldn’t be much of a shock.

It’s actually much harder than I anticipated to condense unique, standalone ideas into tiny packages of value. Sure, it’s probably doable if I really wanted to, but… the challenge that felt more important to tackle was staying consistent. If I had a super clear, very aligned purpose for things, maybe the succinctness would flow more easily, but… I write what I’m thinking about (for now), and for some reason, most of you seem to like that (thanks for sticking around).

A related thought on “business copywriting” and other trendy social media-related writing: I’m tired of brands and creators oversimplifying everything to appeal to the masses. Clarity, above all, should be the goal — not to dumb things down to the point of sounding bland and muddy. So many sites and content are just pointless because they lack an edge, a point of view, or just any kind of personality at all.

Speak like a person. Use the words you want. Show up to the internet without apprehension. There’s no quicker way to despise creating than trying to fit a mold that someone else cast.
