I constantly wrestle with the “love where you live” thing while living here in Florida. For 80% of the year, it feels like you’re both melting and breathing through a waterfall of humidity every time you step outside.

But not today.

We had our first post-summer “cold front” (aka, under 80ºF) today, and let me tell you… it was wonderful. After an absolutely brutal Florida summer, being able to have the windows open and breathe in fresh, non-muggy air was just delightful. I got tons of chores done around the apartment, took a nice long walk with the kid, and starting working on more little side projects I'd been putting off.

There’s no profound insight to be had here today. I just felt like chronicling this fantastic weather since — and I’m not exaggerating — Florida’s weather sucks the life out of me, and makes me want to up and leave at least a few times a week... but that’s for a different rant (when it's back to being blazing hot).
