Willingness to do something at all is the initial leg-up you can get on the competition. While they sit around waiting, you’re in action. Second as effective is the path that the competition is aware of but fears the amount of risk, investment, or work required to make it happen. It takes guts, but can pay off big. Lastly, being the master of one — the expert who can’t be touched in the marketplace because of your level of expertise and highly positioned offerings.

You’ll notice that “doing what everyone else is doing, but slightly better” isn’t an option here... take that for what you will.
