Boring work

Boring work

Boring work

This week has been nothing but support emails, answering messages, making tiny site changes, and normal “business” stuff that keeps the ball rolling. It all feels so utterly unproductive compared to building things and sharing completed projects… and yet, this is part of The Process™ that makes-or-breaks the long-term stability of a creative practice. It's the stuff that most creatives absolutely despise because it means time away from the craft.

Perhaps I say this for catharsis, but: Don’t despise the boring work, for it enables you to keep playing the game you seek to play. Not every day can be grand launches and vibrant colors — but, making peace with the mundane allows celebrations to be that much sweeter.
