Creative expression

Today's thought

Many creative professionals fall into the trap of limiting their expression because they don’t have a client to pay them for it. A killer art direction or typography treatment sits dormant in their mental catalog of “things to try one day”, waiting for some perfect client’s goals to align with their vision.

I think this is a mistake. If you’re inspired to make something, just make it! At worst, it will be a practice in entertaining your creative muse or your introduction into productizing your work — and at best, it’ll attract the exact kind of client who will want to actually utilize a style like what you made!

Don’t let your good ideas grow stale. Make them real.
